Congratulations to Dennis Maines Silver Grove’s New Superintendent

Dennis Maines

Dennis Maines has worked in public education since 1988 and has held several positions to prepare him to be the superintendent of Silver Grove Independent Schools.  Prior to joining Silver Grove, Mr. Maines was the principal at Bracken County High School, principal at Holmes High School, assistant principal at Two Rivers Middle School, teacher at Sixth District Elementary, and maintenance, custodian, and instructional assistant for Dayton Independent Schools.

Mr. Maines is a graduate of Dayton High School.  He is also a graduate of Northern Kentucky University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Education and his Masters in Instructional Leadership.  He received his Superintendent Certification through the University of Kentucky.

Mr. Maines has lived his entire life in the Northern Kentucky area and currently resides in Alexandria with his wife, Jennifer, and two sons.

He has a strong passion for education and is looking forward to working with the board of education, staff, parents, community, and most importantly the students of Silver Grove, where every child has a plan and is on the “track” to College and Career Readiness.
