Williamstown Independent Schools will have a new, but familiar leader next school year.
Assistant Superintendent Misty Middleton was named the new superintendent for the district.  A 1991 Grant County High School graduate, Middleton started her educational career as a teacher at Dry Ridge Elementary after graduating from Northern Kentucky University in 1995.  After eight years at DRE, she was hired as a teacher at Williamstown Elementary.  Middleton earned her Master of Arts in Education from Georgetown College and continued her education to obtain her Rank 1 and superintendent’s certificate at Eastern Kentucky University.

“I was extremely excited to be chosen,” Middleton said. “I felt honored and extremely blessed and humbled that they would have the faith and confidence in me to lead the school district.”
