After school will be fun and engaging learning time at eight more schools in four NCKES Grants Consortium districts next year, thanks to the work of district grant writers and their community partners:
- Covington Independent Schools: Holmes High and Ninth District Elementary Schools
- Newport Independent Schools: Newport Primary, Newport Intermediate, and Newport Middle Schools
- Pendleton County Schools: Northern Elementary and Phillip Sharp Middle Schools
- Erlanger-Elsmere Independent Schools: Miles Elementary School
Students and families in these schools will benefit from 21st Century Community Learning Center grants totalling more than $3,400,000 dollars over the next five years.
Through academic, artistic and cultural enrichment opportunities, students will have extra support to meet state standards in core subjects, and families will benefit from additional opportunities to help their children and improve their own education.
Congratulations to all the district grant writers and their partners!
