Directors of Special Education (DOSE)
The responsibilities of special education directors vary with each school district. Generally, they training, due process procedures, litigation, parent involvement, assist with differentiation, meetings and other concerns involving special education personnel. They are also responsible for developing policies, programs, and other standards within the special education program, as well as representing the program to the community and to the districts upper-level administration.
Dr. Kim Weber
Dr. Weber brings her nearly 14 years of special education experience, knowledge and leadership to better serve our NKY region. She has worked in a variety of capacities including, teacher, administrator and professional learning coach. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Special Education from the University of Cincinnati along with a Rank I in Administration from Xavier University. Additionally, she has a Masters of Arts in Education from Georgetown College and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Weber looks forward to providing professional learning opportunities to build capacity in teachers and leaders as we connect, grow and serve the region.
